Right after checkout, your license key arrives by email â usually within a minute or two. Don't see it? Check your spam or promotions folder.
Download and run the installer
Grab the Windows installer (FeatherDictation-Setup.exe) from GitHub and run it. The setup wizard installs Feather Dictation in seconds and adds a Start menu shortcut.

Since Feather Dictation is a new app, Windows may show a blue "Windows protected your PC" warning when you run the installer. This is normal â click "More info", then click the "Run anyway" button that appears.
Launch from the Start menu and paste your license key
Once installation finishes, open the Start menu, search for Feather Dictation, and launch it. Paste the license key from your email into the activation field, and you're activated.
Press the hotkey and start dictating
Press your dictation hotkey (F9 by default) in any window, speak naturally, and Feather Dictation copies the transcript to your clipboard â ready to paste.
